There is something that I must tell you – I am a recovering coffee addict. I’ve never been more than a one cup a day kind of girl but the grip of the addiction was strong. I own a very fancy espresso machine, a french press, a coffee grinder, a mini frother, a Japanese Hario drip coffee pot and of course a regular brew. I never really wanted to give up coffee. I was drinking organic, sustainably farmed beans with raw milk, coconut sugar and cinnamon and it was delicious but many of you know that I also suffer from terrible migraines and I’ve been doing a lot of research and experimenting on myself and one of the common themes in all of my research was to get rid of sugar and caffeine. Easier said than done. I tried all coffee alternatives but those didn’t cut it – I would rather not have something at all than have a sub par version of it. I tried tea, which I love and still drink but it’s not the same as a cup of freshly brewed espresso.
That all changed when I had my first cup of Crio Bru after a meditation session at The Chopra Center. I was blown away. Ground up raw cacao beans brewed like coffee…YES PLEASE. I picked up a flyer the had to take a 10 day Crio Bru challenge and I’ve been hooked ever since. I almost don’t even miss the coffee anymore – plus I can still use all my fancy equipment which is an extra bonus! The health benefits are incredible – more energy, less cravings, immunity boost and so much more.
Once I stopped drinking coffee every day and drank the Crio Bru instead I noticed that I had more sustained energy, no more 3pm crash and I stopped waking of with the musthaveacupofcoffeerightthissecond feeling. Really the coffee addiction fell away on it’s own without a whole lot of effort, headaches or withdrawal. I’m a changed woman. The husband even enjoys and he was more of coffee addict than I was!
Because I love this product so much and I like to share I decided giveaway a bag of this deliciousness. Comment below before Friday, October 25th and you’ll be entered to win a full-size bag of Bru. If you don’t win you can always head over to their site and get a free sample pack.
Sounds wonderful, looking forward to trying this out.Sat Nam!
Hubby and I are total coffee addicts. Just like you we’ve tried many alternatives but nothing has even come close to that same satisfaction of your morning cup o’ joe. Would love to give this a try 🙂

I would love to try this! I’ve never tried brewing cacao like coffee!
This sounds amazing! I currently cannot drink coffee due to health reasons, and have been looking for a good substitute. I’m headed over to their site now. Thanks!
Yummmm! This looks delicious. I looked up their website and they also have a Mayan one that sounds so good. They need to make them in k-cups!!!
I’ve used them in the cups before! YOu just need a blank, filler one (don’t know the official name) to put the ground up beans in. 🙂
Thank you for turning me on to this stuff! I love it and have been
drinking it ever since. Because I can’t handle coffee on a daily basis, this is a wonderful alternative especially as the mornings are getting cooler! Thanks again Chassie!
So glad you like it Raylene! The weather right now is PERFECT for a cup!
This stuff looks awesome – im trying to get myself off coffee!
